Leopard : compte admin vérolé aprés install => solution :), ... impossible de modifier les Prefs Sytemes

Leopard fraichement installé, plus d'accès en tant qu'admin sur votre compte :

- Rebooter en Single User => Pomme + S au boot

A l'apparition du shell, taper (ATTENTION, clavier US)

1. fsck -fy
2. mount -uw /
3. nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -merge /groups/admin users yourusername
4. reboot

/!\ REPLACER "yourusername" par votre compte.

Si vous avez un message vous disant "invalid path" :

* nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -create /groups/admin gid 80
* nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -create /groups/admin passwd '*'

Et répéter la commande "nicl -raw.... ...yourusername"

Une autre solution, utiliser le compte root (l'activer si non dispo).

Activation du compte root :

1 - Reboot
2 - Passer en single User (pomme S)
3 - Saisir :

* mount -uw /
* passwd root (you will be prompted to create a password)
* passwd yourusername (again, you will be prompted to create a password)
* shutdown -r now

Se loguer root ensuite et rétablir les droits sur le compte foireux. Ce qui me pousse à vous rappeler de ne JAMAIS utiliser un e ouverture de session automatique, on vous avait prévenu

Users are reporting a strange phenomenon where their administrator user accounts are converted to standard user accounts after installation of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

MacFixIt reader Ed Anderson writes:

"Installing Leopard reconfigured my primary user account to 'standard', and in doing so, played havoc with many apps and processes that require it to be at admin level; multiple requests for user names and passwords that I knew were correct, yet denials of service anyway. It would not even let me use the login/keychain update. Spent a half day going through user name and password reconfigurations to get things running again. Even now, I still get asked for a password where before I did not (like mounting network drives) - keychain still seems to be partially broken."

Another reader adds:

"The only account was converted from an Administrator account to a Standard account and thus I couldn't alter anything in System Preferences."

The solution for this issue is to startup in single user mode by holding the Command and S keys while your Mac is booting, then typing the following commands, pressing return after each.

1. fsck -fy
2. mount -uw /
3. nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -merge /groups/admin users yourusername
4. reboot

(replace "yourusername" with the desired username)

If you get a message saying "invalid path", then type these two commands:

* nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -create /groups/admin gid 80
* nicl -raw /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb -create /groups/admin passwd '*'

and then repeat the nicl ... -merge command.

Another fix involves creating a root account and then assigning admin privileges to the relegated account by starting in single-user mode and entering these commands:

* mount -uw /
* passwd root (you will be prompted to create a password)
* passwd yourusername (again, you will be prompted to create a password)
* shutdown -r now

You can then startup normally, login into the root account and assign admin priveleges as you choose.
